NPO Connect facilitates skill transfer between professionals in the non-profit sector by allowing professionals to connect with one another through a web-based platform.  Once connected through this site, the peer mentorship is developed and carried out primarily offline - in face-to-face meetings, phone conversations and/or email communications. 
 
Through April 2010, this service is offered exclusively through the Metrowest Nonprofit Network.  The Network believes that nonprofit staff, volunteers and board members - regardless of their job title or the size of their organization - have invaluable knowledge to share with and glean from their peers.
 
Using this free tool, you will be able to create your own skills profile, browse other people's skills profiles, and connect with peers as either a mentor (you agree to share your skill with someone else), mentee (someone else agrees to share their skill with you) or both.
 
Once you have registered, feel free to dive in and create your profile by clicking on My Account. Or, click the Getting Started tab for simple instructions for navigating the sight.
 
Finally, before you initiate a connection request with a prospective mentor or mentee, we strongly recommend you check out strategies for successful peer mentoring relationships by clicking on the Tips for Success tab.
