Post a message to all NPO Connect users
Create a New Account:
To use this site, simply click Create New Account on the left. You will be asked to type a user name and email address. Once submitted, you will be sent an auto-generated email to the email address you listed with an assigned password and a link back to the NPO Connect website. Click on this link and you have completed the registration.
Once you have registered, simply log in with the user name you used to register, and your assigned password. You now have access to create your Skills Profile, view other users' Skills Profiles, Browse Skills Users Have, Browse Skills Users Want to Learn, View Users' Organizations, and Participate in an Online Forum.
Create Your Skills Profile:
In the box on the left with your name, click My Account. If you haven't created a Skills Profile yet, you will be able to by clicking the "Create Your Skills Profile" link at the top of your profile. If you have created a Skills Profile already and want to edit it, click on My Account, then Edit, then Skills Profile.
View Other Users' Organizations:
In the "Get Started and Connect" box on the left, click View User Organizations. From there, you can click on a user associated with a particular organization to view their Skill Profile.
See Who Is Willing to Serve as a Peer Mentor:
In the "Get Started and Connect" box on the left, click Browse Skills Users Have.
See Who Is Seeking a Peer Mentor:
In the "Get Started and Connect" box on the left, click Browse Skills Users Want.
Once in the browsing windows, you can view other users, and how they rate themselves in various skill categories. From there, you can click on their name to view their Skill Profiles in detail.
Send a Connection Request:
Once in a user's Skills Profile, in the "Relationship Actions" box on the left, you can select options to become that user's peer mentor or mentee. A window will pop up, where you should provide details on what specifically you are looking to learn or what you have to offer. Describe how you envision making this mentoring relationship work, i.e your availability, in-person or remote, etc. Please see theTips for Success page of this website for guidelines on how to structure a successful mentoring relationship!
View Your Relationships Status:
Click My Relationships in the "Get Started and Connect" box on the left.
Post a Message for All NPO Connect Users To View and Respond To:
Click on Forum in the "Get Started and Connect" box on the left. Please note these messages are not anonymous.
